Manage subscription
Change plan, cancel to period end, read your payment history, and understand who may pay and what happens when a renewal payment fails.
Everything about your subscription is self-serve from the billing area in-app: switch plans, cancel, review your payment history, and see your current status. This page explains how each of those behaves: cancellations that run to the end of the period you already paid for, how a plan change takes effect, who is allowed to run a money operation, and how a failed renewal payment suspends and then recovers your plan.
AnyBot meters AI work as ABT across 6 pools. Your plan sets the monthly allowance, see ABT tokens and plans.
Where to manage it
Subscription changes live in the billing area of your workspace, the same place you started your plan. From there you can move up or down a tier, cancel, and open your payment history. Checkout, renewals, and card handling run through Stripe; AnyBot records the result and adjusts your allowance and limits accordingly.
The subscription belongs to this workspace, not to you. Each workspace you own is billed separately, with its own plan, its own invoice and its own billing details, and since a workspace gets its own Stripe customer at checkout, its billing address and tax ID are collected there and stay editable per workspace. Only the workspace's payer can buy, change plan, manage the card or cancel; a teammate holding the billing permission can read billing but is refused on money operations.
Subscription status at a glance
Your subscription is always in exactly one state. The billing area shows which:
| Status | What it means |
|---|---|
| Active | Paid and current, full allowance and limits for your tier. |
| Canceled | You asked to cancel; access continues until your period end, then it stops. |
| Past due | A renewal payment failed; you keep your plan for a short grace window while it's retried. |
| Expired | The period (plus any grace) elapsed without payment. The workspace has no paid plan and goes read-only. |
Upgrade or downgrade
To change tiers, pick the plan you want and complete Stripe checkout. Once payment confirms, your previous subscription is retired and the new one becomes active. The new ABT allowance and the new seat, agent and knowledge-file limits apply from that point. An upgrade charges the difference immediately; a downgrade becomes credit against your next invoice, never a refund. See Plans for how the tiers differ by dimension.
Moving to a smaller plan never deletes anything you already built. If your current usage is above the new plan's limits, you're grandfathered: existing agents, seats and files keep working, and only the next create-action is asked to fit the lower limit. That kindness applies to count limits. ABT pools are different: a smaller plan means a smaller monthly allowance, and when a pool is used up that kind of AI work stops until the window resets or you buy a top-up, and a pool the smaller plan sets to zero is refused outright, which no top-up unlocks.
Cancel (runs to the end of your period)
Canceling does not cut you off immediately. When you cancel, AnyBot flags the subscription to cancel at the end of the current billing period in Stripe and records the cancellation locally. You keep full access (allowance and limits) until your current period end. After that the workspace has no subscription of its own and becomes read-only: reads and exports keep working, but anything that spends on AI is refused. Canceling takes you to read-only, not silently onto another plan, and it never deletes your workspaces, agents, or data.
If you change your mind before the period ends, choose a plan again to stay subscribed.
Payment & invoice history
Your payment history lists every plan charge (plus any marketplace or phone-number purchases), newest first and paginated. Each entry shows the amount, currency, what it was for, and its status (succeeded, pending, failed, or refunded), with the date it was paid. AnyBot also emails a receipt when a plan payment succeeds and again on each successful renewal.
Expiry reminder on a non-renewing plan
Expiry reminders are sent for a subscription that will not auto-renew, such as a plan granted through a referral or a promo rather than bought on a recurring Stripe cycle. Such an email goes out a few days before the granted period ends and links you to the billing area to choose a plan.
When a payment fails: suspend, then recover
Renewals bill automatically on your cycle. If a renewal charge is declined:
- Suspend (past due). Your subscription moves to past due and you get a payment-failed email prompting you to sort out the charge. You don't lose your plan straight away. A short grace window (currently about a week) keeps your tier's limits in place while Stripe retries the card.
- Recover. As soon as a valid payment goes through, your subscription flips back to active automatically, the billing period rolls forward, and a renewal receipt is sent. There's nothing else to do.
- Expire. If the grace window passes with no successful payment, a nightly sweep marks the subscription expired and the workspace goes read-only. Your data stays put; re-subscribe any time to restore your allowance.
AnyBot has no self-serve or admin refund path. A plan change produces credit, not money back. If a refund or a chargeback is nevertheless raised on a plan payment in Stripe, AnyBot receives that event and cancels the linked subscription immediately, rather than running to period end.
FAQ
Do I lose access the moment I cancel? No. You keep your plan until the end of the period you've already paid for, after which the workspace is read-only.
Will a downgrade delete my agents or workspaces? No. You're grandfathered on count limits; only your next create-action has to fit the lower limit. Your monthly ABT allowance does drop straight away.
A renewal payment failed. Is my plan gone? Not immediately. You're past due for a short grace window while the charge retries; a successful payment reactivates you automatically.
