Meetings & Note Taker

Send an agent into a Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, or Zoom call to record, transcribe, and summarize it, then let it answer questions from past meetings.

Esta página ainda não foi traduzida, exibindo a versão em inglês.

The Meetings Note Taker sends your agent into a live online meeting. It joins the call, records it, transcribes the audio as people speak, and can produce an AI summary with key points, decisions, and action items. Afterwards the agent can look back over past meetings and answer questions from what was actually said, using two owner-only reading tools.

Before you start

  • A meeting you can invite a guest to: a Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, or Zoom link.
  • An agent to own the meetings. The note-taker attaches to one agent per install.
  • Awareness that the bot joins as a visible participant named after your agent. Everyone on the call can see it, and it may have to be admitted from the lobby. Follow your local recording and consent rules. Tell participants they're being recorded.

Connect

  1. Open Integrations and choose Meetings Note Taker.
  2. Select the agent that should attend and record, then click Install. A Meetings item appears in your sidebar.

Send an agent into a meeting

  1. Open Meetings and click New.
  2. Paste the meeting link. AnyBot detects the platform from the URL. Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, and Zoom are all supported.
  3. Optionally set a title (it defaults to your agent's name) and confirm the timezone. Submit.
  4. Watch the status move through waiting in lobby → joined → recording → completed. Admit the bot if your meeting has a waiting room.
  5. Open the meeting to follow the live transcript (it refreshes every few seconds), then click Generate Summary for an AI write-up: summary, key discussion points, decisions made, and action items, in the meeting's own language.

What the agent can do

Once a meeting is recorded, your agent can reach it through two owner-only tools:

ToolAccessTypeWhat it does
meeting_listOwner-onlyReadLists meetings recorded in your workspace: title, platform, status, duration, and whether a transcript is ready.
meeting_transcriptOwner-onlyReadReturns a meeting's transcript as full text, or as timestamped speaker-attributed lines, so the agent can summarize it, pull decisions and action items, or answer questions about what was said.

Both tools are owner-only and read-only. They never join, delete, or change a meeting, and a website visitor can't reach them. There is no agent tool that schedules or starts a call; a person creates the meeting from the Meetings page, and the agent reads what came out of it.

Worked example

A week after a sales call you ask your internal agent: "What did we agree to send the customer, and by when?" The agent runs meeting_list to find the recent call, calls meeting_transcript to read it back, and replies with the action items and owners, pulled from the actual conversation, not a guess.

Limits & honesty

  • Recording is not instant. The bot has to spin up, join, and sometimes wait in the lobby. Very short or cancelled meetings may end as failed with a reason shown on the card.
  • AI summaries are metered in ABT, like other AI work. See Billing & ABT. Plans differ by allowance, not by feature. (The transcript itself is produced by the meeting bot and isn't metered as ABT.)
  • Supported platforms. The Note Taker joins Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, and Zoom calls. Dial-in-only phone conferences aren't supported. The bot needs a join link for an online meeting.

Troubleshooting

  • Bot never joined. It's likely still in the lobby. Admit it manually; check the link is a join URL, not a calendar invite.
  • No transcript: transcription starts once recording is active; a meeting that failed before recording won't have one.
  • Summary button did nothing: a summary needs a transcript first. Wait for the meeting to reach completed, then generate.

FAQ

Can the agent book or start a meeting itself? No. It reads recorded meetings; booking appointments is a separate tool. See Google Calendar.

Is the recording visible to website visitors? Never. Both meeting tools are owner-only, so only your own agents and team can read transcripts.

What languages does it handle? The transcript keeps the spoken language, and the summary is written back in that same language.
